Biloela is a rural town in Central Queensland’s Banana Shire, 120kms south west of Gladstone. The economy is largely driven by agriculture in addition to local coalmines. Local income is generated by abbatoirs, cotton production, dairying, wheat, and power generation at the Callide Power Station.
The Silo Motor Inn sits directly opposite ‘The Silo’ a well known tourist attraction. The Silo was originally displayed at Expo 88 to showcase Australia’s primary industries.
Grant was extremely excited about winning the ipad, having recently taken over the Motor Inn and is planning on using it for both work and leisure. “It will be a great work tool as we’ll now be able to operate our business from anywhere,” Grant said.
Jarrod is the Chef at Silo Motor Inn and has recently completed his apprenticeship. Having grown up in the local area Jarrad started his apprenticeship whilst still at school. The restaurant is the heart of the Motor Inn with many guests choosing to stay their because of the fantastic food that is offered.
