With assistance from Australian Apprenticeship Support provider BUSY At Work, TAE Aerospace’s plan to upskill staff into training opportunities through apprenticeships and traineeships is well underway with the recent sign up of two participants at their Bundamba facility to complete a Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations.
Damien Feltracco is the Learning and Development Manager at TAE Aerospace and part of his responsibilities entail developing the strategic plan for the next 5 years, which includes recruiting employees that can grow with the company, including school leavers and apprentices.
“The addition of these two apprentices to our program brings us to a total of 12 participants, which we hope to grow over the next two to five years with certificates in mechanical aero skills, engineering mechanics, business administration and human resources,” said Damien.
“By increasing our apprenticeship program, we are preparing the younger generation with the knowledge needed to eventually take over the positions of our experienced workers who are transitioning into the final stages of their career.”
