Five months ago the group of Ipswich ladies started meeting with their children at Busy Beat, and have found the group to be highly beneficial. The nine mothers met each other through the Midwifery Group Practice at the Ipswich Hospital. The group provides its members with a supportive environment to share ideas and discuss parenting issues, as well as much needed adult interaction.
Claire Medhurst coordinates the group and says: “It’s nice to know we are all going through similar things and it’s lovely that we can meet regularly to encourage each other”.
Another of the great benefits is that by meeting at Busy Beat they don’t have to go far for great food and coffee which is available at the Café.
“Busy Beat provides a unique environment which caters to both our mums and bubs. Our Mums can enjoy lunch, coffee and especially yummy desserts while they chat, and there is enough room to put rugs on the floor for the bubs to play,” says Claire.
