The local people in Chinchilla are excited about the program as it shows the commitment Linc Energy is making to their community. The program gives them an in-depth understanding of the growing energy industry, whilst also supporting local employment and upskilling. Linc Energy Chief Executive Officer Peter Bond said his company had made a long term commitment to Chinchilla residents and businesses.
“We realise there is a real need in Chinchilla to develop an Apprenticeship or Traineeship package for the energy sector, the Linc Energy CEO said. “There is no ‘one size fits all’ solution when it comes to training packages, so with the support of ‘BUSY At Work’ we are developing a tailored programme to teach locals valuable and transferable skills required to work in this field,” Mr Bond said.
