The BUSY Group’s Commitment to Reconciliation
What is a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)?
A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a framework that guides organisations in making meaningful contributions to the national reconciliation movement in Australia. Through practical actions, a RAP strengthens relationships, respect and opportunities for First Nations peoples. Endorsed by Reconciliation Australia, our RAP aligns The BUSY Group’s efforts with Australia’s national goals for an inclusive, unified future.
Why is a RAP Important to The BUSY Group?
At The BUSY Group, we see our RAP as more than just a plan; it’s a commitment to creating positive change. Our RAP is an essential guide that helps bridge the gap between First Nations communities and the broader Australian society. By actively working towards understanding, respect and collaboration, we contribute to healing the impacts of colonisation, promoting equality and celebrating the rich heritage of Australia’s First Nations peoples. Through our RAP, we are working to create a more inclusive workplace, open meaningful opportunities for First Nations communities and play our part in the national journey towards reconciliation.
Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan for 2024 – 2026
The BUSY Group’s Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for July 2024 – July 2026 reflects our ongoing commitment to reconciliation and the values that shape our work: inclusiveness, resilience and innovation. As our second RAP, this plan outlines clear initiatives to increase employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, support First Nations businesses, and deliver culturally appropriate health and education programs. With the guidance of our RAP Committee, we are committed to ensuring that these efforts are sustainable and impactful.
