A tranche of new homes is set to hit the Gladstone property market, after construction kicked off on the first stage of a billion-dollar residential development in the region.
The $1.4 billion Riverstone Rise project – which may generate opportunities for apprenticeships in Gladstone – will comprise 2,900 homes, a primary school, retail hub and medical and childcare centres.
Located near the Boyne River, it will also feature facilities to take advantage of the 4.2 km water frontage of 182 hectares of open space.
According to a report by APN Media, the first 60 dwellings will be constructed over the next few months, with works already undertaken on 20 homes.
Riverstone Rise project director Grant Botica said the first residents would move in from April this year.
“The entry and entry lake are under construction, as are stage two and three,” Mr Botica commented.
“We will be pleased to release stage three to market at a special VIP launch later this month. The release will feature some great allotments, ranging from small lower-maintenance blocks to larger, family-sized blocks.”
Mr Botica went on to say that once complete, Riverstone Rise will offer a fantastic lifestyle opportunity, with access to amenities for people of all ages.
