BUSY At Work is a part of The BUSY Group who provide a large range of supportive services to job seekers including:
- Australian Apprenticeship Support services,
- Disability Employment Services,
- Transition to Work (career pathway support for disengaged youth),
- No-cost training and work experience opportunities through Skilling Queenslanders for Work programs,
- Skills Checkpoint for Older Workers, to support persons over 45 years of age to remain or re-enter the workforce; and
- strong partnerships with industry and large corporations across Queensland, offering many work opportunities and meaningful career pathways for job seeker clients.
As well as the many opportunities and supports available for job seekers at BUSY At Work, the jobactive service team has a simple three-point mantra when it comes to achieving the best for local job seekers:

BUSY At Work treat job seekers with respect and dignity at all times.
Building rapport and trust, they get to know each job seeker and their individual circumstances first, so they can then best support them.
- Place
They work very closely with job seekers and employers, only placing their clients into work that is sustainable and secure. They don’t set their job seekers up to fail and ensure they fit round pegs into round holes.
With strong industry knowledge and relationships with larger employers, job seekers are provided with opportunities for career pathways that are meaningful and rewarding.
- Retain
Once placed into work, they continue to support clients to ensure their ongoing success in the role.!
Leanne, a former jobactive client of BUSY At Work in the Gympie region had been unemployed for over 7 years before approaching BUSY At Work for help into work. Leanne had an interest in the health industry and had recently completed a university degree to become a laboratory assistant, but found it hard to find work in the industry.
Through BUSY At Work’s connection with QML, Leanne was soon provided an opportunity to interview and then offered employment as a Phlebotomist with full training provided. Leanne stated, “I am very grateful to BUSY, my confidence and life quality has improved – this opportunity is the life changing moment I needed”.
