Congratulations to the Queensland recipients of the Australian Vocational Student Prize. Over 100 Queensland students were recognised among the 500 finalists.
The Australian Vocational Student Prize (AVSP) promotes the value of gaining vocational skills while at school and also recognises the importance of vocational education in further training and employment opportunities.
Each year schools nominate students who have chosen to undertake an Australian school-based apprenticeship. Up to 500 prizes are awarded each year with each winner receiving a $2000 grant. The highest achieving winners are also eligible for another $2000 with the Prime Minister’s Award for Skills Excellence in School.
If you are in Year 12 this year and are currently undertaking an Australian school-based apprenticeship, what better way to launch your career than with an Australian Vocational Student Prize.
