Investing in Community
Our Social Impact
As a purpose-driven organisation, BUSY’s focus is on creating positive social impact. While we strive for financial sustainability, our bottom line is measured in the lives we change. We proudly embrace a people-centric philosophy where the needs and aspirations of individuals and communities are placed at the forefront of our services.
By providing personalised support and building strong relationships, BUSY empowers individuals and fosters a sense of belonging. We tailor our services to meet the unique needs of our clients and collaborate with community partners to create lasting positive change. Each step forward BUSY takes – from education to employment – builds confidence, strength and optimism for individuals and communities.

These community projects assist people to learn self-awareness, life and social skills, plus job preparation and employment expectations. They also receive mentoring and expert career advice all while developing their self-confidence and life skills that many of us take for granted.
Community Housing
The BUSY Group invested in two houses on the Gold Coast to provide community housing for the homeless, supporting low-income earners with affordable housing.
We are extremely passionate about this community investment and see community housing as a way forward for The BUSY Group. We plan to grow this project in the coming years with the aim to provide more options for sustainable, affordable accommodation to those who may find it hard to pay market rental rates.
Community Donations
Annually, The BUSY Group donate tens of thousands of dollars to organisations that support our most disadvantaged community members. These include homeless shelters, women’s shelters and organisations that support mental health.
In 2023 The BUSY Group remained steadfast in our ongoing commitment to Beddown, with this year’s $94,000 injection specifically aimed at supporting homeless women in Ipswich.
Driven by our core value of community support, we are pleased to introduce two new additions to our charitable network. The Survivors of Suicide Bereavement Support Association offers vital assistance to those grappling with the emotional aftermath of losing a loved one to suicide. Additionally, Friends with Dignity addresses the challenging reality of domestic violence, extending essential aid to people affected by difficult circumstances.
Through these partnerships, The BUSY Group aims to contribute meaningfully to the resilience and healing of individuals facing these critical challenges in our community.
The BUSY School
The BUSY School is an alternative senior schooling for disengaged youth to support them to complete their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and transition into vocational pathways or higher education.
With nine campuses in Australia and one opening in New Zealand, our alternative education model is re-engaging young people with their education and supporting their future career paths.
