Sunshine Coast open for employment

The Sunshine Coast Council (SCC) has partnered with a global contact centre solutions provider to deliver employment opportunities to the local community, helping more people secure jobs in Queensland.

Announcing the joint initiative earlier this month (October 5), the council is urging job seekers in the Sunshine Coast to explore employment opportunities with Stellar Asia Pacific.

The company, which will be based in the new Maroochydore city centre, aims to hire 100 new employees before the end of the year across a wide range of positions.

“We encourage all ages, particularly more mature aged people on the Sunshine Coast to consider employment with Stellar,” the organisation’s general manager Ian Morris explained.

“A customer focus, life experience, communication skills, reliability, a positive work ethic and a desire to learn are what we are looking for.”

Jobseekers aged 17 to 70 are encouraged to express their interest for positions in customer management, sales, help desk, information services and back office processes.

Stellar Asia Pacific and the Sunshine Coast Council will be holding recruitment information sessions this month for those who are interested in employment opportunities with the company.
