Queensland Gas Conference & Exhibition rolls into Brisbane in September

Queensland’s fastest-growing energy sector will be put on display when the Queensland Gas Conference & Exhibition (QGCE) comes into town from September 10-11.

This event is the largest free attendance coal seam gas (CSG) and liquefied natural gas (LSG) exhibition in the state, also offering a conference program demonstrating thought leadership, best practices and innovation in the industry.

Industry professionals such as general managers, chief executive officers, site managers and engineers will be able to expand their network of potential customers, partners and suppliers, discover the latest technology and industry solutions, and pick up vital information and advice during the free workshop and seminar series.

The LNG industry was noted to be the fast-growing in the state in 2010, with Queensland’s former Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy Stephen Robertson commenting that within a decade the industry could “add more than $3 billion” to the state’s economy.

He also said that it could create “more than 18,000 jobs”, which could come as great news for those interested in taking up roles or industry-related apprenticeships in Queensland.

A range of businesses and organisations will be exhibiting at the two-day event including integrated gas companies, professional, legal, financial and insurance services, and gas processing plants.
