What is Skilling Queenslanders for Work?

The Queensland Government funds training and support through Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) for unemployed or underemployed people, with a focus on:

  • young people (including those in and transitioned from out-of-home care)
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  • people with disability
  • mature-age job seekers
  • women re-entering the workforce
  • people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
Employers can capitalise on these training programs. You’ll have the opportunity to hire engaged and work-ready job seekers plus access financial incentives offered by both federal and state governments.
